Comments: Originating from Central Asia, this tulip is recognisable by its bowl-shaped flower and leaves with dark stripes and spots. The flower colour is red to yellow. It is named after Scotsman Samuel Greig (1735-1788), who became an important vice-admiral in the Russian navy and President of the Russian Horticultural Society.
