Tulipa (Darwin Hybrid Group) 'Apricot Pride'

Tulipa (Darwin Hybrid Group) 'Apricot Pride'
.
Family: Liliaceae (Leliefamilie)
Distribution: Horticulture
Comments: In 1943, a Dutch breeder succeeded in crossing two distantly related tulip varieties. These first and subsequent cultivars are characterised by tall, sturdy stems and large flowers. The plant's unusual beauty does come at a price. This is because most Darwin cultivars are sterile.
